Our research team started focusing at key priority for sound development of Myanmar, which is a budget monitoring to make budget information more accessible to the wider Myanmar public. In this context, OMI is intensely following the Myanmar budget together with our partner NGOs East Asia Institute, Sandhi Institute and Renaissance Institute. Our contribution aims at following the budgetary process in the Myanmar Parliament and we also prepared a budgetary report.
In April 2016, OMI started a new activitity focused on budget tracking for state and region goverments. This project is planned for 16 months, lasting until July 2017. Within this project, OMI is partnering with Asia Foundation.
